Default Hood Tach for 73-77

I know that the 1973-1977 Grand Prix's were not available with a hood tach. My 1974 has gauges with the large broken clock and I know that finding a Grand Prix or Grand Am from those years is next to impossible.

What I would like to know is if there is anyone who has installed an aftermarket hood tach on a 73-77 Grand Prix and if so, which one fits our hoods. I see several different ones in Ames depending on year and model. Thanks.

I would think that the standard 68-72 hood tach would work, the only outer dimension difference would be the taller 1967 style hood tach. the other differences are just the red line markings, and of course if it was intended for a OHC-6 or V-8 powered car. I have seen a couple of 73-75 Grand Ams & Leman's wiht the 68-72 style mounted.
