Default 1971 Catalina 4-door rear window interchange

Does anyone have an interchange manual that could tell me if 1971 4-door sedan and 4-door Hard tops use the same rear glass? I have found a possible rust free rear window panel for my 71 Sedan, but it was removed from a 4-door HT. Any help greatly appreciated.

I think the rear glass is the same unlike earlier years.

Four different versions of the rear glass.

2 Dr Hdtp
4 Dr Sedan
4 Dr Hdtp
Gran Ville Hdtp/4 Dr

My Mitchells is dated 1973. It shows that the 4 Dr Catalina/Bonneville shares the same rear window as its Chevy-Buick-Olds companions

Thanks for the info, but it does mean I am not limited to a Pontiac 4-door sedan, Thanks Ed!

Default Hollander manual

Find someone with a '76 Hollander. I have a '74 reprint, Volume II - Body.
It states in Glass section _
'71 - '74 Catalina & Bonneville for rear glass
4 Dr. Sdn. #3659 - that is the Glass Hollander #
H.T. #3661 - that is the Glass Hollander #
In interchange section, in back of Glass section it states: #3659 - fits '71 - '74 B, O, P and C cars. Again, assume this extends through '76. The same, is stated for #3661, B, O, P, and C four door H.T.

So, the rear windows are different between H.T. and Sedan. Whether the opening is significantly different, have no idea. A skilled metal guy could probably adapt.

Thanks, I can tell by looking at pictures of the 75-76 models that the C-piller and rear window change shape for the last 2 years of production. But I think you are correct that they are the same for 71-74.

My trouble is finding a good sheet metal man in my area willing to work on an obscure and unloved body style. Most have said as it isn't a A or F body they are not interested. The one shop that so fare is willing to do the work says they can not make the complex bends around the window, but they are willing to cut and weld in a solid replacement if I can find one.

Thanks again for the help.

Glad my old Hollander reprint was of some help. For a $5 purchase at a swap meet, it sure has come in handy. I do have a contact in Sherman, TX, a guy who buys large B cars for resale. some go to "derby people" some are resold elsewhere as projects or parts sources. If you want his contact info, PM me. Dave, I PM'd you about the contact, Thanks. And thanks again for the help, I guess I need to hit the swap meets, I never seem to have the time anymore, and those manuals are usually very pricy on line.

Thanks Again.
