Default 1964 Lemans (original engine) 326 Valley Pan Crankcase Vent Gasket??

I am using a Fel-Pro PS 11488 Push Rod Cover Gasket Set. I do not recall seeing the small gasket pictured on the block or under the valley pan when I took it apart.

Question: Does the gasket go on the block between the valley pan and the block as pictured? Is it used on my application at all?

I appreciate your help.

It’s not used at all for your 326.

If I am not mistaken that gasket was last used in the 370 cid motor before the 389 came out in 1959.

Well, that makes a lot of sense. It didn't look like the gasket belonged. Thanks!

WOW, knew one on me! I'd love to see the internals of the 370 and why a gasket was needed.
