Something very different for sure, a 1947 Streamliner woodie in CA at $48K. No seat belts is a big deal IMO, as I feel uncomfortable driving my cars unless I'm buckled up. The car is a frame off and a labor of love for sure. The chrome must have cost a bunch and the woodworking is amazing IMO... lots of work went into it. Cool to look at, but not something I'd want.

I agree completely, stunning, a wonder to look at, and I have no desire to own it. I can not image the upkeep the woodwork would require. Granted it would not see much water unlike my uncles old Cris Craft, But that boat made me uninterested in owning any such mobile work of art.

Some data on the prices of 70 Trans AM's and what sets them apart (all 4-speeds).
This is what $100K will buy you in AZ. https://www.ebay.com/itm/40620861849...Bk9SR9K2-rOoZg $73K in Missouri. https://www.ebay.com/itm/22696990829...Bk9SR9S2-rOoZg ![]() ![]() ![]() $50K in CA. Moroso chrome valve covers? Really? 455HO is not NM, but still a 70 45HO. I think it has digital gauges, but hard to see. A black ball shifter would look better than the one that's on it. IS this one worth $27K less than the one above for the issues it has? I think it depends on how much NM means to you. The chrome horns were something very popular when I was 16. https://www.ebay.com/itm/31725140404...Bk9SR-rzprSoZg ![]() ![]()

A tale of two 1955 Star Chiefs.
1955 Star Chief in Florida at $65K. Go faster LS2 twin turbo engine and a patina look. https://www.ebay.com/itm/23632346362...Bk9SR-i6tsioZg ![]() 1955 Star Chief in Texas at $22K BIN. Ding ding ding... we have a winner. Not my jam, but between the two I'd rather drive this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/26739981043...Bk9SR-q6tsioZg

68 GTO 455 in Ohio at $70K BIN. Has the ol' Ram Air tubes connected to where the headlights used to be custom mod... should be worth about 5HP when you add in the chrome hood hinges. Frame off and a lot of work was done, but in the end it's a carbureted hot rod and way overpriced at the asking price IMO.

69 Firebird 4-speed in Connecticut with a reserve. Ram Air has been added. Was an original gold/gold 400 car, but I don't think that matters anymore, because the engine is not NM and it's had a full color change. Lots of metal replaced, so the car was prolly pretty rusted out. Frame off and a pretty car.

another 70 Trans AM data point at $75K in Massachusetts. I love the interior. The 400 engine is not NM. If you wanted this car, you may be better off with a clone and changing the interior color.

Nice to see a real 1969 400 car, too bad about the candy red paint and mix and match interior. The factory gold in and out with black top would’ve been sharp.

69 Firebird convertible in Michigan with a reserve. Was born a 30Ho and now has a 400 with added Ram Air including long branch manifolds. Pretty rare options added like power seat and rear fold down.

68 GTO convertible in NY at $6K NR. A real Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car where every body panel is different. Too much missing with a 2bbl beater engine IMO to bring back, but it was a burgundy/black car which is cool.
