You have the right attitude about it.

It's amusing to hear guys talk about wanting Pontiac to return, but when someone creates a modern interpretation of what a new Pontiac would look like, you get massive amounts of hate. The stereotypical "it's just a Camaro" comments are always fun.

I guess they dont realize if Pontiac returned, the Trans Am would have been based upon the 5th/6th gen Camaro. They would have had the same chassis, drivetrain, and similar interiors.

Oh well, they can complain while you rack up the miles and smiles!
