Default Voltage regulator

I have a 1965 Pontiac Bonneville 389 four barrel automatic with distributor and points. Do I order a voltage regulator light or ammeter? Thanks in advance.

A 65 Bonnie has a dash board pod ( center round pod )with an Ammeter in it does it not?

So I don’t understand your question.

Do you need to order a new voltage regulator for the car?
