Default O2 sensors and leaded fuel?

Anyone having any luck running an O2 with leaded race fuel? Rumor has it some of the units today can stand up to lead, but I'm not seeing anything like that in a search on the topic. (here and elsewhere). Id love to know if someone is making it happen.

I'm currently using the AutoMeter Wideband and it seems to crap out pretty quickly. . I'd be willing to switch to any other out there (Fast, Innovate) if anyone has any real world experience with one holding together.

Also, would it be safe to say its only the 02 that fails, and not the gauge? My readings seem to come and go, so I'm not really sure. I put in a brand new Bosch sensor for the dragstrip, and the readings on from the start, were spotty at best.
