Default 1977 T/A exhaust info requested.

Back in the 80s I had a local muffler shop install a dual exhaust system on the '77 T/A which was done with the old blue streak glass packs that look to be about three and a half feet long. They cut the parking brake cable during the install and these mufflers are obstructing the cable being reattached. I am considering going to the H.O exhaust manifolds and the Gardner 2 !/4 " dual exhaust system for the car and was looking for comments from members who have done this system on a '77 T/A. Also looking for recommendations on who make the best H.O manifolds as I will need to buy a pair of those also. Car has the Pontiac 400 and stock 4-speed trans. TIA!

Cant comment on the gardner system other than its very expensive! If you dont need 100& correct stock exhaust, the aftermarket kits are very nice or have another exhaust shop bend something up for you... Pypes, dynomax and others sell kits that fit very good and most shops know to not cut the E-brake cable.

HO manifolds aint cheap either, the mentioned kits above offer downpipes to keep the stock exhaust manifolds.
