Working on a 70 GTO - I have some prior damage to repair at the door handle. Question is - does the shape of the door handle completely fill the indentations? Or does some indentation show underneath the handle? I have to reshape mine and so far not going well. I have these pics off the internet- right now previous body shop hammered them completely flat.

That sounds beyond challenging.
Walked to the garage and grabbed this off my LeMans again... doesn't mean it's correct but hope it helps you. |

Awesome pic and thanks for the help! Yeah the internet pic I found was too shadowy to tell. So the big indent DOES extend pretty far beyond the handle. Good to know. I can handle a little "sculpting". A little strange why they stamped it that way - maybe added strength

ugh, flat? are both doors messed up? I had to work one of mine due to hard use from bad door pin. i'd show pic but dont know how yet. mine has a nice roll underneath handle
