The pic is a rough sketch showing a jack that came in my 65 K code Mustang. I bought the car at two years old from the original owner and the jack is what came with the car. Never came across another one and I'm curious if this was oem or aftermarket?? Can anyone school me on this...wanted one to use on Corvairs, but never saw another.

I searched 1965 Mustang jack and several "scissor jacks" for early Mustangs are for sale on E bay so it seems they were OEM.

I can't say for sure since it's been 60 years, but I vaguely recall seeing a jack like that when I was in my early teens. Family car was a 64 HiPo Fairlane at the time.
Maybe it was different jack vendor at a certain assembly plant. Our Fairlane was bought new in Northern California so the plant may have been San Jose.

I have the same jack. I have been using it on my 1967 GTO because it works better than the original bumper jack. I thought it came out of a mid 1980's GM but I could be wrong.

Factory jack that came with a 1961 t0 1963 Pontiac Tempest or LeMans.
