I think I recall pulling this off of a 69 or 70 Grand Prix many years ago. Can somebody tell me what car and what year models it was available on?

I know it was used on the 1973 Grand Am, because I had one. I think it was also used on the Grand Prix of that era.

Incidentally, I installed a nice one on a 1978 Suburban I used to own.

The Hub is not large enough to be a 73-75 GA wheel, or a 73-77 GP wheel.

I think it is a 72-73 Abody Custom Sport wheel, I have one on my 73 Lemans Safari. It is an optional sport wheel.

I am always happy to be proved wrong though.

Appreciate the responses. I plan to sell this so I’m trying to make sure I describe it accurately to buyers. Anybody else have a guess?

They used your wheel in 1971 and 1972 on A B and G body cars.
It's the same design as a 69-70 wood wheel , except for a black padded grip.

The 73 brochure is most likely pre-production.
In 73 they came out with virtually the exact wheel , but it had a huge padded horn button with a small Pontiac crest emblem.
73-77 All series except F used it - even 73 and 74 GTO , and 77 Can Am.

Unless yours was carried over for a brief period in early 73 production , but I'm not aware of it.

I might want to buy it when you decide.

I still say the smaller hub wheel was used on the 73 A-bodies, the larger hub wheel was used in applications that had the bright light switch relocated to the turn signal lever, that would be Grand Am's, Grand Prix's, Can Am's and possibly Grand Lemans models if they used the GP style dash. The smaller hub wheel was original on my 73 Lemans Safari, and it still has the foot mounted high beam switch, and the smaller turn signal lever.

I am not saying it was not used in 70-72 also, just that it was the optional Sport Steering wheel on 73 Lemans and possibly GTO models.
