Default Cleaning up faded carbon fiber

After a few years in the Texas sun the cheap carbon fiber spoiler on my daughter’s Camaro is pretty faded. I can buff it and get a shine but not for long. Was thinking of using some of that 2k clear on it - have extra from another project. What is the correct process? Is it as easy as scuffing with a scotch brite, cleaning and spraying?

Clean with wax/grease remover and then wet sand with 800-1000 grit. Then clear coat as you're saying.

That's also a good way to restore headlight and parking light lenses. Did that on my '03 Silverado about 8 years ago and they still look great.

On fiberglass and CF I use rubbing alcohol for prep, w/g remover will cause a lifting problem if it wicks into any bare fibers. Then a couple coats of a high solid clear should make it nice again.
