Default Were Formula's ever equipped with T/A style wheel flares?

Curious. I saw a 78 Formula with T/A style wheel flares. The car looked to be every bit a Formula, including hood scoops and the wrap around black bottom stripe with FORMULA callout at the rockers.

Was this a possible option? I've never seen the wheel flares on a Formula before.

Thanks!

Not from the factory... but people changed all kinds of things on these cars.

Ok, thank you. The car in question had the wrap around FORMULA wide stripe around the bottom, which also wrapped around the wheel flare, so it looked very factory, very integrated. Threw me for a loop.

In the early 70s Stephen Pontiac raced in pro stock they had added TA parts on the forums they raced. It was deemed legal because the parts were considered a dealer installed option Idk that it answers the question but it was done enough that NHRA allowed it

Go to pintrest search Stephen Pontiac you’ll see the car
