The described paper trail sounds a little confusing .
But I'm not objecting about anything.

It was an odd back-story in magazine articles even before this car was found.

Wonder if they will reproduce the white strip as it was on this prototype car?

The "first" Judge prototype was the one with the cornering lights in the above photos. And if you look carefully it is actually a two door post Tempest, it was originally decked out the "ET" and had a 350 HO, A LeMans flat hood but with a hood tach and the hood tach pod based Ram Air set up as seen in the 69 High Performance Brochure. It looks like they added bucket seats, A GTO endura and hood to the ET for this stage of the project. If you look carefully at the pictures you can see the air brushing of the 68 Tempest tail lights and side marker lights. Also the power antenna from the ET Tempest wass also still there.

The photos on the left above are the second prototype Judge. Apparently, it started life as the limelight green RA IV Hardtop with the parchment interior seen in the 69 High Performance Brochure and many other promo stuff like posters and post cards. That Limelight green car was built as a base engine preproduction car and it had a RA IV put in along with the preproduction four scoop ram air setup. Apparently, when it was converted to a Judge it had the RA IV replaced with a stock 69 RA III engine and stock style RA set up.

Interestingly both these prototypes had factory power antennas, something that wasn't ever offered on production Judges.

Did two or three white stripe cars exist?

One was the ET, and I guess that is the one turned into a Judge that in some pics has the Le Mans tail lights?

There is the green one that was turned into a Judge that is often mentioned…black interior car.

Oldham in his book said he could tell the Judge prototype he got to mess with was a white car at one time. Pretty sure that is the one Royal put Bobcat stuff on and it was probably the one Shinoda was photographed sitting in. Was that it a third one…I don’t think it was the ET because it did not have the fender lamps. This car also had a white interior…

Always wondered about this…
