My 73 Formula is missing everything to do with the jack including the spare tire. Does the car use a full size tire ( rally wheels on car) or a space saver ?

Waiting on the PHS, trunk is empty but for the trunk mat. I just purchased the car Sunday. It is in transit

I ordered a PHS record before Jim went into the hospital and got it back in a couple days. I think his son sent it out. Picture of the mat may help too.

OK, I have the car now. Its a full size spare. 15x7 HM7 code Rally II. I'm looking for one of those .

Well, the M5/7 5 (VS) 4 HW is a 1977 wheel.
Do you have one coded HM like you posted earlier?

Just looking for the correct rally II for a 73 built 7/28/73 . according to the assembly manual it calls for 489292, HM JJ correct ?

The manual may say that, but that's not how you'll look for them.
I usually see 5-10 days before ship date, but there have been some that were close.
Here is a M5/3 7 {VS) 27 HM. The hoop (outer piece) has an completed date of 7 22 and another of 7 12 with the 888 and 15x7JJ code (probably SAE standards).

You shoulda came to Dayton, I bought a complete 73 Jack from a local,guy, I knew he had a 73, parked it outside his buss. Went in one day to get something done, asked about the 73, said he sold it. Real crabby guy. I said got any parts? He pointed to a column, the Jack was behind a fire extinguisher, bought it, took to Dayton, sat on a pc of cardboard till Sunday buyer was real happy

As mentioned, your codes don't make sense when looking for original wheels.

The wheel code and date code can differ by manufacture, or even when it was produced.

Your wheels (if your car had optional 15" Rally II's) should be "HM" (a two letter code);
The wheel code should be stamped on the outside of the wheel, to the right of the valve stem - when holding the wheel so that the valve stem is at 12-o-clock;
The date code should be on either side of the valve stem, and the manufacture/line code should be on the far left - on the left of the valve stem is the month, to the right is the date.
The final digit of the calendar year (not model year) is to the left of the month, and may be a part of the manufacture code.

To narrow down what is correct for your car;
If your PHS does not show both the Rally II and the 15" tire option, then your car had 14" wheels;
If your PHS shows just the Rally II option, then it should have 14x7" Rally II's (the code for 1973 was "KS");
If your PHS shows either a white letter tire option, or no tire option, then your car left the factory with 14x7" plain steel wheels.
The code for 1973 14x7" F-body plain steel wheels was "EM"
The absence of any hubcap option for a plain wheel car means that your car had the "poverty" aka: "dog-dish" hubcaps;
For standard wheel cars, if the paint was on the chart for color coded wheels, you received body matched wheels - otherwise you had black wheels.

The Formula model came standard with black wall F60-14 tires, which required (in the Firebird) a 7" wide wheel.

Any Formula with the Rally II option received trim rings - the stand alone trim ring option was only meant for standard wheel cars with no hubcap option, or Trans Am's.

Unless a space saver spare tire option was on the PHS, a fifth wheel matching the other four (less any cap/trim rings) was included in the trunk.

I have attached images of an original 1973 model year Firebird jack - this one has a 1972 manufacture date.

I should also add that the 1973+ 15" Rally II's are in every way identical to one another;
I believe that for the 1979 model year, they started painting them differently, but they were still the same.

I don't see very much attention paid to the 1973 15" Rally II wheels, because they are not distinct like the 1970-1972 wheels (which used a 14" wheel center section).

I believe that when I bought my car, two of the wheels were 1973 model year HM wheels.

The Formula's standard tire was a F70-14, blackwall.
