My '26 6-cylinder Pontiac had AC78S plugs. The only new ones I've found so far are something like $95 each
Anybody know if the Autolite 3076 is truly an equivalent?

I found a good tech description of the Autolite 3076 and it appears identical (functionally) to the AC plugs. After an exhausting internet search, I managed to order the last four available from one seller and the last three that another seller had!
