There's a paint that's iso free that manufacturers are using supposed to be good stuff and much safer
Isocyanates will mess you up bad Looks like some safer alternatives are coming around if more people start asking and using them more will be made .

Isocyanate free paint products - are alot safer - sensitization risks
A lot of new products coming up especially in EU and saustralia Lobbyists keeping them from coming up in USA but there's a few . Comparison of Popular "Iso-Free" 1K Clear Coats If you are looking for an automotive or industrial 1K clear coat that is specifically isocyanate-free, these are the leading options: Motoclear 1K: Explicitly labeled Isocyanate-Free. Used for high-gloss automotive effects. Dupli-Color 1K Clear: A urethane-modified formula that is gasoline and UV resistant. It is a 1K product, meaning it does not use an isocyanate hardener. Rust-Oleum UltraWear 1K: Uses a proprietary non-isocyanate moisture-cure technology for flooring and industrial surfaces. U-Pol 1K Clearcoat: Labeled Isocyanate-free, often used for spot repairs and small automotive parts. Also ISO free epoxy primer surfacers They did t get rid of isocyanates for no reason anyone who has been sensitized can tell you . https://www.limelinepaintsupply.com/...tal-light-grey ISO free 707 clear https://conceptpaints.com.au/sites/d...%20Clear_1.pdf In Australia Sherwin Williams - Ultra-FIllŪ DTM Isocyanate (ISO)-Free Primer/Surfacer Premium Ultra-Fill HS is a Direct-to-Metal (DTM) ISO-Free Primer Surfacers NP75/NP74W are free of lead and chromate hazards. Direct-to-Metal (DTM) ISO-Free Primer Surfacers free of lead and chromate hazards. As high build surfacers, with excellent gloss holdout and sanding characteristics, NP75 / NP74W / NP76 can be used in Collision and Fleet markets. NP75 / NP74W / NP76 provide excellent bare metal adhesion and corrosion protection without the need of an etch primer and meet National Rule VOC regulations of 4.6 Ibs/gal. Why do we need Isocyanate free coatings? Research into a polyurethane network without exposing the applicator to isocyanates has also been recently developed. Cyclic carbamates have been found to convert to aliphatic polyurethane systems through reacting them with polyamines, thereby eliminating the potential of isocyanate exposure to the applicator. One of the drawbacks to this type of approach is the complete overhaul of chemistry and starting materials, which does not result in a network with original chemical characteristics and properties of a standard polyurethane system. V650 Isocyanate Free Polyurethane Due to the lack of an available As Always check MSDS t be sure because AI gets it wrong sometimes but ISO free is gaining steam

Aliphatic isocyanates are part of the best performing clearcoats in most brands of paint.
Aromatic are formulated for the cheaper line of paint and wear performanceand durability is greatly reduced. I think you will find that clear coats that are iso-free will not last as long and not turn out quite as translucent and shiny as ones with this in it. PPG high solids clear is still the best out there. That's what I use. No cheap but you can tell the difference between other brands. Iso products are safe as long as you follow the rules. Always wear a shoot suit and head cover. Put vaseline around your eyes to protect them if you are not wearing a fresh air respirator system with full face mask. Always paint these types of paint in a booth that moves enough air to keep the over spray to nothing. If not you better wear a full-face fresh air mask set-up. I have been painting for over 30 years and have never had an issue due to being careful and safe.

Worked at Auto Finishers Speed and Customs in Syracuse NY in the 80's.
I remember when DuPont Imron came out. We were a DuPont distributor and I was lucky to get free samples of many products from them for testing. I sprayed Iso clears most of my life on the side and always wore a respirator even while doing priming sealing and body work. It's durability still is unmatched. I still have great lungs and liver at 74yrs. old. Safety 1st fellows.
