It's only original once So I try Not to alter anything unless I need to. Plenty of altered cars to buy and do that to . And you can usually get them very inexpensive because it ruins their value to add new age or off brand parts to a classic car , unless you really go all the way with it and make a g machine driver out of it that done to a top level

This Formula just kinda fell into my lap. Knew it was numbers matching drivetrain when I bought it. Didn't realize the extent of the other original parts until I got it home & dug into it. Car was 54yrs old when I got. It stayed original all those years, Im certainly not gonna be the guy to change that. I'm actually trying to fix a few things back to original. It's been fun decoding & refurbishing the original parts. That being said, I have a 79Z28 that is tore down & in the middle of a restoration. Original drivetrain is long gone on that one. While I plan on keeping the original color & appearance. It's getting a 327 with vortec heads, headers, & a 4spd in what was an original automatic car. I do plan on painting the engine "corporate blue" tho. 😃
