That poor 69 Firebird

It speaks volumes for the 70-73 Firebirds. It seems everyone liked Ponch's Firebird.

Still one of my favorite shows. In a funny way, watching it as a kid added to the California mystique that enticed me to move out here. I finally got to meet Jon and Ponch last year. I keep this pic in my toolbox.

Those old episodes are more indicative of the car distribution of the era. If you watch something now set in the same time period, it seems everyone in the movie is driving a super desirable musclecar. It just doesnt jive with history.
