Talking Watching Carol Burnette reruns I record

This am watching what I recorded Monday night. Mr Tudball and Mrs Wiggins. It was her birthday. I was drinking a glass of water ,laughing so hard I spit up part of the water. Then Tim was a robber trying to steal a gem. There are so many that let me laugh. Harvey korman. Vicki Lawrence. Tim and Harvey Japanese submariners, Tim gas station attendant, Harvey robber fleeing from robbery wanting gas. Hilarious.

Some of the best stuff.
How did we tire of watching shows like that?

I'm probably a little younger than you guys and I could go on about how stupid the effing TV shows are nowadays on every network or streaming service 99% of the time but I won't. This kind of stuff in what I watch.. Laugh in, Rockford files, Mary Tyler, hogans heros. Love them all! OH, and most movies stink today too, there I said it.

Totally agree, I pay $205 for cable and it is bad. I have a over the air tv in the rec room with about 40 channels does me just fine. Love to pull the cable plug but wife wants it to watch 3-4 channels she likes. Old Carson reruns have more value then anything they put out now!

No CATV for over a decade. No TV either ( wellwe have a small flat screen to play DVD movies).

But we cruise internet in the evenings and that is no way to stay active.

The Tim Conway dentist bit is possibly the funniest TV skit ever.

Our family was in LA in Feb. '78. Saw one of the last episodes of Maude (Norman Lear showed up after ending and invited everyone in the audience to a dinner on him) and Carol Burnett. Also saw an episode of Three's Company. Good memories.

Too many great moments on the Carol Burnett show to list - Tim Conway's natural talent steals many scenes, he really had the innovation second to none ! There are youtube interviews that point out many of Tim's greatest moments were not part of rehearsal but Ad-libbed !

I was not watching the show in the early 70's being out partying all the time so they are mostly NEW to me now ! I'm hooked watching it every night !! Fun seeing a new guest for each show.

Dad make me go upstairs to bed 9pm.
Sneak down bottom stairs door barly open 10' away from tv. Tim Conway! Buddy Hackett! Jonathan Winters on Johnny Carson.
The best story joke tellers.
