I just thinking it's worth a try. I tried that resistor plate on our IA2 build and didn't work out for us. Put a 160* thermostat in and works so much better. The 160* stat starts opening at 160* from my testing. I also ran the cooling lines from the back of the heads to the water crossover and also ran one off the coolant line to the water pump. I also left the bypass in place. I felt this setup helped circulate the coolant through the block to warm up the engine and once the 160* stat opens engine starts cooling. My fan is controlled manually and I have a 185* sensor on it for automatic mode. Were also running a electric water pump. I guess I'm just wondering if your restrictor plate is impeding flow down the track. Plus the other thing I don't like about the restrictor plate is that the engine struggles to warm up properly, which also affects oil temp before a run down the track. Just my thoughts.

A often overlooked point of flow restriction in aftermarket intakes is this..
The head to intake water passage is restricted by 26%.

chuckies76ta - thanks for that info. Definitely worth a try to see if it helps or hurts and easy enough to do.
steve25 - next time the intake is off I will definitely have a look at the crossover opening size
