I'm new here so sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum. I recently started working on my '72 LeMans again after a 10 year spell.
A few weeks ago, I was looking around for some Fel-Pro 1016 head gaskets. At $50 a piece, I decided to go with the Fel-Pro 2806 gasket set that includes the 1016s. Surprisingly, Amazon and Walmart.com had the set for $110. Since then, the price has dropped further on Amazon to $93. Amazon likes to bounce their prices around so I don't know how long they'll be this low, but I thought I would share. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Fel-Pro-2...-Set/138654544 https://www.amazon.com/Fel-Pro-2806-.../dp/B000CESR0Y |

How can you tell the kit contains the 1016 and not the 8518PT head gaskets? I seem to miss any identification of what head gaskets are included.

Previously, before I bought a 2806 from Summit I asked the question about 1016 head gaskets. The reply 'yes' came from a Felpro tech. And it did have the 1016 gasket. The 2806 is listed as a performance set. Also with the 1233 RAIV intake gasket. To date I have bought 3 sets.

If you go to the FelPro site and look up the 2806 set, it lists individual components included in the set under Specifications/Application Notes. It shows 1016s there.

edelbrocks head gaskets seem like a bargain at $50 a set. seems like i read here they are comparable to 1016s, but compress to .038
