Recall introduction thread here:
https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...=1973+firebird Since the mid year purchase, I have been hard at work with some body work and stripping entire car. Formula hood nearly finished, replacement nose cone in progress, interior in progress, found four 15 x 8 WS-6 Snowflakes (refinishing them now), rear spoiler done and set, etc.... Also, collecting parts for the engine. - 428 block - 421 Armasteel crank (10/10) - 6X-4 heads - 1969 intake (Quad convert to E choke, removed exhaust crossover) - 1970 RA3 / HO manifolds See mock-up pics below. I'll post more pics as progress continues. |

Looking good!
Don't forget about getting engine mount adapters to mate the 428 block to the car.

After
New for me, 76 - 78 seats coming in a few days to match the vertical lines of the rear. Getting rid of the ugly seat covers and such, hiding the worn out original seats (for sale soon).

Posting for DJs73 (she is having computer trouble)
Secured some 15 x 8 WS-6 wheels and 295/59 & 255/60 tires. Vintage RWL Goodyear Eagles. Tires are quite old but only a few thousand miles; came off a garaged Cobra. Could not pass up FREE for at least mock up. Wheels were solid and just needed the normal sanding, polishing and paint.

Computer fixed.
Presently have two 73 Endura noses. Both sandblasted and I am restoring both. Which one I use will depend on the results. I changed the color of the grills from the grey to flat black. Of course, added a 428 emblem; stock location. |

Matching front seats done. All vertical seams now; front, back and door panels.
Endura bumper restored, gapped to hood & fenders and grill color change. Next major exterior tasks, take all body panels down to bare metal and block hood. |
