Default Cutting open an oil filter ,tool what to use for a clean cut

I've never had a oil filter cutting tool just used tin snips. After reading about oil filters today. I'm thinking of buying a 'good' tool reasonably price. Just use occasionally. . At 78 maybe I dont need too but curious about new oil filter construction. I have a big Rigid pipe pipe cutter but I think it's too big just crush the filter. Thanks Bob

This tool from Summit Racing works pretty good. It's the cheapest one they sell. SUM-900511. $47.99 We have cut open about 100 filters at the school with it so far.

I probably have the same one. Because ditto on the extra wheel. Just got here last week and used it for the first time. Super easy, very similar to a tube cutter for brake lines.

I think I paid like $12 for it? Can’t beat it when I’ll probably only use it like twice a year.
