Just finished watching with my morning Coffee. Nice! Great piece of Pontiac History. Look forward to seeing it all completed.
Have you sourced a replacement for the roof Light? That's the Cherry on Top for this car

Watched the whole thing. I didn’t think they threw you under the bus, or I didn’t catch it.
I never saw these guys before, and was kinda impressed on how honest they seemed really. I watch a couple of the popular shows from time to time and bang my head against the wall at how big of hacks most of them are. I would actually trust these guys with my cars.

Thanks guys, I do like the shop, Eric is very honest, the only things that are not quite correct in the video is that the Master cylinder did go out the day before I was supposed to pick it up, So I had them replace it and rebleed the system. And on my drive home the "new Thermostat" stuck closed about 1/2 way home, but I was able to let the engine cool down, remove the stuck thermostat, refill the cooling system and made it the rest of the way home.
I Suspect that the way the shop pulls engines contributed to the head gasket failure. I have only used a carb plate one time to pull an engine, the buddy I borrowed it from always did it that way, The time I did it I had a Performer intake on the 400, and the intake cracked shortly after reinstalling the engine, So I never used on again. But I can't prove that is why the passenger head gasket blew, it was 55 years old, and before I got the car it had sat for 20+ years in a dry pole bar, Also it is the only time I have never had coolant get into the oil with a blown head gasket, it was just letting compression gasses into the coolant. I have heard of that condition before, but it was a 1st for me personally. I have since installed a Robert Shaw high flow thermostat, And installed the 1" rear bar on new boxed lower control arms that I found intended for the 1991 and later Police package Caprice's. It should not be an issue finding the roof beacon, the real issue will be finding period correct siren and radio equipment. I have found a set of the "lollipop" lights to mount on the rear package tray though.
