If your Judge is a concours level restoration and you plan on having it judged I would buy the Goodyear G70-14 Polyglas GT Redlines that it came with originally...however, the costs aren't for the faint of heart. I've seen a few sets of lightly used redlines come up for sale on FB and PY for a nice discount.

Dennis, would you agree w the following?

The blackwall G70-14 was stock on a '69 Judge.

Thin whitewall G70-14 could be clicked off on the dealer order.

Raised white letter G70-14 was not avail on '69 Judge or GTO.
raised white letter was avail on '69 F-bodys & then on '70 GTO's, etc.

Rusty Small for best deal on reproduction Goodyear Poly Glas tires, Rusty is east of Kansas City MO, but makes it to numerous big events.

For years, Firestone outfitted their small Ranger pickups w raised white letter 225-70R14's. similar size to G-70 14's. I used to grab decent used Firestone 225-70R14's off
individuals & from used tire jockeys, when i could find them. Only as rollers to mount on wheels for project cars. Its been over 15 years since Ford used that tire as believe,
the Ranger was last built in 2011, so buyer beware on driving on such a set.

Roger, That's the way I understand it, and I thought Red Lines were available too on the Judge. Firestone didn't make any RWL tires until 1970 and Goodyear started the non-size RWL's in '69 ('69 Hurst Olds, Boss & Mach I Mustang, Fairlane Cobra, etc.). Seems like Mopar and the GM divisions didn't use RWL's on their non-special muscle cars until 1970. Did '69 TA's use RWL Goodyears? I need to look at period pictures to recall correctly...lol.

Rusted Tires is Rusty Small's business in repop OEM tires. You can find him on FB with the locations he'll be displaying at and delivering tires at if you preorder/prepay. Really great guy.

For 1969 GTO's, redline G78-14 polyglas were standard equipment.
G78 Whitewall and G70-14 Blackwall ,Redline and whitewall were optional extra cost tires.

On a 1969 GTO Judge's, wider G70-14 Blackwall polyglas tires were standard with Redline and whitewall G70-14 available.

Note, RWL tires were not offered by Pontiac on 1969 GTO's or GTO Judges. Who knows why, they should have had them available, as they were standard equipment on 1969 Firebird Trans Am's.

G70-14 RWL letter tires were finally available on 1970 GTO and GTO Judges in 1970 and were a popular option.

Even the 69 TA started off with 3/8" whiteline tires, it was only the late production 69 TA's that got the RWL tires.
