Default 67 firebird wiring harness

I connected the battery wire and clip into the alternator, but the harness has a plastic harness pin. Does it push into back of alternator to attach harness ? this is a new harness and the one i removed did not have a clip on it. thanks, Tom

No, those are taped to the harness and used to secure it at various locations throughout the run. This isn't the best picture but you can see the factory clip next to my steering reservoir on the driver's fender just in front of the support rod. The harness is tucked up behind the fender lip and the clip is pushed in to a 1/4" hole.

When I installed the harness i used the push clips wherever they were supposed to attach, I just wasn't sure why this one is about 4 inches from the end of the alternator run. Thanks.
