I would like to paint the hood hinges on my 75 TA while the hood is off.
I worried about loosing or the back up nuts falling if I unbolt them. Of course they are in difficult areas to get too. I could try to tape them off and paint or leave them as is. Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated. |

I can't quite remember if the nuts in the fender are welded with slots in the hinge mount for adjustability, or the nuts in the fender are loosely captured by a cage allowing them to move around for adjustability. Regardless you can remove the hinges from the fenders and not lose the nuts. Just put new fenders on mine, no problem with the hinges.
