Default has anyone installed a 455 PONT. INTO A 68 GMC ? THANKS

Looking at a 68 GMC truck to put my 455 into and checking for possible other members that have any experience with this or other close crazy ideas? Thanks for any info !!!

Not really a crazy or new idea - Pontiac v8 into 67-72 GM trucks (73-87 as well) is not an unheard of swap. I've seen a couple of swapped trucks for sale in my area in the past year. I'm sure there are threads on this site and/or the 67-72 trucks forum regarding this if you do a search.

Yes! As soon as I finish assembling my 389 I plan on dropping it in my 67 Burban.

Love it !! Lots of torque and a Pontiac in Chevy . Believe it or not Intyre early 60s it was very common to pull a Chevy and drop in a Pontiac in drag cars too my uncle had a vette w a Pontiac and it wasn't an uncommon car at the track

Pretty easy

I used clamshells and brackets out of a 73 up truck and the motor mounts from a 71-76 full size Pontiac
