Has anyone noticed the 54-DS oil pump screen seems to be a VERY loose fit going into the pump ? It used to be a struggle to get it started. now you can push it all the way in effortlessly.

The question then is that due to the OD of the tube or the ID of the pump body?

High temp silver solder it to the pump.

I had to beat the old screen out with a hammer the new screen fell right in !
