Is the console different from a manual transmission car to an automatic car? I'm looking to switch from one to the other and would like to reuse the console if it's possible.

The base plastic from an automatic can be cut to be used under a 4 speed top plate..

Might know where there is a 64 4speed console for sale if that is what you need.

So, I’ve read this several times. You asked if the console is different from a manual to automatic. Just to be sure, are you looking for the manual console? If so, they are reproduced. Not sure on quality. Thought I had been told they are good. Maybe those that know will chime in. Here is the link:

The PG Classic consoles are excellent. Probably better than OEM was. Do not even consider rechroming with these available.
