Default Driveshaft detailing service

Is anybody doing driveshaft detailing? I think the shop that did this went out of business. They used to derust the shaft and replicate the welded color on the end caps then clear coated the whole shaft. Looked nice when done

When I restored my 67, I took the u-joints out, then wire wheeled my driveshaft on my bench grinder! Clear coated it and it still looks good many years later.

Crazy to bring it to a shop to 'detail' to me.

I haven't touched mine in a few years, but once in a while I would just put it up on stands and let in free spin while idling.
Then clean it up with emery cloth and hit with a high temp satin clear.

I only send it out if there is a balance issue.
