70 455 Firebird 455 at 40K BIN in Texas. Whoever photoshopped all the pics did a horrible job. Park it on the street and take a picture. I love the color. I dislike the shifter and ladder bars. I'm ok with the wheels, but the stance looks higher than it should, and again, the ladder bars don't look good IMO. How often are you going to punch it with enough grab to make those ladder bars hook up? Lower the stance and it'll look a lot better with the 17" Honeycombs. I love the interior. It looks crispy and new. /JMHO. All stuff the can be left alone, or tweaked.

65 GTO 4-speed frame off at $60K BIN in Saint Louis. Not many pics. This one is a moving target. The exterior is stock and looks awesome with the Rally I's. I like the color and it goes smooth with the interior color. I like the interior, except for the chrome dash face... that looks like a poor attempt to go full hot rod and doesn't mix with the other mods. The seats are very nice, and I would guess it's the "Stock plus" seat covers. Wasted money with the smooth firewall, and once you do that there's no turning back... it's just part of the car now. Really pretty car.

Getting the height right on 2nd gen must be something akin to rocket science. So many get it wrong. I don't get it. I can't get past the height to enjoy the wheels.

1956 Pontiac Star Chief in Oklahoma at $17K BIN. Nice looking car. Gotta love the piano keys for radio buttons and the absolute unit of an air cleaner.

[url]https://www.ebay.com/itm/307011950719? Yes so jeoulous of that original custom interior. Just wow! Super neat car. Don't like flowmasters and too bad someone spray bombed the top of the engine. NY car doing its best CA rust free car impression. So rare to see. Stored safely it appears for decades. Just unsure how much one can trust the chebby seller. Likely picked this up for $10k I bet. |

Probably threw a belt and the mechanic diagnosed it as the compressor.

1988 Trans AM GTA convertible in Michigan at $14K BIN with 50K miles. Claims to have $6K in new parts. One of 104 (converted) convertibles, and no pics of the top down. The interior is made of Muppet skin, which is kind of sad, but I try not to judge. Engine is the 215HP TPI 305. FWIW GM drop shipped these to ASC, so they were technically involved.

I thought Nightshade Green was a real dark color almost black looking?
Spring Mist Green is I think a light color about like a gray?

I caught a couple of print photos of it that are buried somewhere, but the background was the stand of trees at the car show site. The green foliage dominated the green on the car making it appear as a light silver on the prints. I wish I'd caught some photos with a different background to show off the delicate hint of green in that paint. It was beautiful. |

Here's one that's hard to get into the builder's head. 79 Formula Firebird in Pennsylvania at $57K BIN. Ok, so you wanna build a hot rod. Let's target a sleeper, so from the outside it looks bone stock, but the engine is replaced with a 420HP LS. Also do a frame off, smooth the firewall, and put a lot of money in the chassis components. The interior stays the stock vinyl. Ok, project completed. Who else shares this dream? It's a nice car and some very expensive work was done, but my guess would be this particular car was chosen for an emotional tie. $57K is a lot of money. We'll see.
