BUYER BEWARE. Just to save everyone else the hassle, this is a scam.

Guy pressures ya, tries to avoid actual phone call convo and when we finally talked, he has a heavy Indian accent, and couldn’t tell me what kind of car this part goes to. When I asked if he’s just scamming people, he said no, hung up and ceased communication.

Not today, scammer.

Yes scammers are a problem.

One way to avoid them is to never answer an ad on the open forums.

Send a private message, that way you don’t attract scammers.

Simple and it works.

To be clear, the member who placed the ad tried to scam you?

Or did someone else message you (which is what I assumed) regarding the advertised item?

I guess I can’t say for certain. Communication began after I replied on this post. So, you’re probably right, some scammer likely pretended to be the seller on this post.

Either way, I was savvy enough (this time) to pick up on it pretty quickly. I’m not out anything so no big deal.

PM the seller.

With any luck he still might have your bracket although the ad was placed nearly 3 years ago.
