Me and my buddy was discussing the number of 455ho birds produced in 71. This one is a black 4 speed no air car that was i am sure was ordered. It was ordered with no power conveniences but with an 8 track player and honeycomb wheels and several performance options. What would be a guesstimate of the # produced with the same build?

Due to the color and low production of 455 H.O. formulas, I would say it is the only one in that configuration.

Since there was also NON HO 455 Formulas built, it could be hard to nail it down..

Very cool Formula 455HO Boardog! According to Fred Simmonds there were 321 455HO Formula's produced in 1971. Of this number 109 were ordered with Ram Air (I'm not sure where these numbers came from, but not from Fred). It is not known what the breakdown of transmission type is yet. Fred did research and determine this for the TA's however.

There is at least one other black one that's similarly equipped.
