Our big Iola swap is not what is was either. Guess it's sigh of the times.
But I plan to do Portland in '27.

The rumor going around this year is that the Expo center has a contract through 2027. So they have at least one more year before Vidan gets his wish. After that it's likely we will all be outdoors, all weekend.

Mostly the same junk year over year. Internet has made swap meets nearly obsolete, unless you just want the exercise and comraderie.

swap meet scores are why i go. been looking for a set of 1970ish A body bucket seats on market place and craigslist junk ones are 4-800 with nice sets in the 1800 range, saturday morning I found a set with fresh covers, nothing original but good enough to drive her with for a while until ready to reupolster them to match the rear. they were $50 each. cant believe no one bought them before i did, but i will gladly take the luck.
my 80 yr old father in law bought a "wolf whistle" for his model A he was pretty excited. I was suprised because he likes all his stuff bone stock. regardless he doesnt open his wallet very often lol
if you dont go you will never know, but if you like just ordering out of a catalog there is no need for you to go either. its a different way to collect parts for our builds.

Me and a bud went to a Ford swap in March, nothing else going on so we went, it was at the Packard, I saw a lot of everything and a ton of memorabilia, some AMC stuff too, and the Ford guys were way more friendly that the other swaps including the Pontiac ones I go to.
Seeing it in person or on eBay is totally different, you can’t look close online, plus no ship.
