Quite a celebration planned in D.C.! Will definitely watch the flyover and some of the world record fireworks on tv. Wish I could be there in person. Also heard that 20 Tall Ships from 20 different countries would be part of a giant flotilla starting tomorrow. That would be something to see!

Be careful what you wish for!
I grew up in Chicago, so my family went to the lakefront in 1976. Great show, but in true Chicago fashion the traffic control was non existent. Took us about 6 hours to get out of the Loop.

Will get out the 67 GTO. Load up a couple grandkids and throw out candy to the kids at the Hadley, Mi. parade. I swear they bus kids in from the city somewhere. Fire department has water fights with the big kids.

Happy 4th to all. No offense to anyone but I love my country and I think it's the greatest country ever. God bless America! After all, it is the country that gave us Pontiac cars!

Happy birthday to America! The Big 250. My HS graduation class was the bicentennial in 1976. It was a big deal too. Lots of history this year. 100th for Pontiac too. Fireworks and picnics for everybody!

Hope everyone has a Happy and Safe 4th. Our heat index is 104, high humidity. Probably staying in the air conditioning. Fireworks in Latrobe I can see if I go outside as we /I live ontop of the hill overlooking Latrobe.
