Default 2006 gto questions

Are the arrowheads on a 2006 gto, front end and trunk, supposed to be red?Looking at a low mileage used one and the emblems are orange. Sun faded? Also does anyone have part numbers for the two emblems?

I bought my 05 new in February of 06, the arrowheads faded quickly enough that I had them replaced while still under warranty. So yes, they do fade quickly when exposed to the sun. Mine unfortunately was not garaged, so it was exposed to sun everyday.

One of the board sponsors, GTOG8TA, has the emblems listed for $79 for the pair front and rear.

Hope this is helpful.......

GTO Ignition key fob, and blank. it has a Manaro emblem on the rear of the fob.

https://gtog8ta.com/product/04-06-gt...t-holden-logo/

There are cheaper alternatives on E bay and other places, but I have read that they cheap ones have trouble programming to your car..........

The key and fob combination is less than durable, plus they weren't designed to just replace the battery when it expired. if you're diligent you can pry them apart . and solder a new battery in them, but you then have a mangled fob. The rubber button covers don't last long at all on the OEM fobs.

The original ignition locks also wore out quickly if they weren't lubricated with some type of lubricant, locking the ignition in the off position. Just a few of the drawbacks I've encountered with my own car.

Here's the link for GTO, G8, and T/A late model parts. Chis Casperson, the former owner of Performance Years sells many of the common parts needed for the late model Pontiac muscle cars. No one else has the selection that he has.

https://gtog8ta.com/

I hope this helps people that haven't found parts sources for the late model cars.............................
