Default 64 GTO on BaT ; real?

64 GTO

1964 GTO on BaT with some discrepancies?

The Manifest seems good but does not match cowl tag on car.
Vin on car matches manifest. (but not cowltag)
Vin looks like it could have been replaced, but I'm not sure what they looked like originally.
VIN and manifest are Pontiac plant, cowlatg is Fremont!
Plus the engine in car is not a 64 engine. (maybe 65/66?)

I'm apparently no longer welcome in the comments anymore after making a factual post critical of another mess of a car in a previous auction. Bad for business - especially with the dealers/flippers they cater to.

If the VIN tag and the cowl tag have different plants - that's an instant red flag.
