I'm right here

I wasn't trying to break and record times,,,,as some of u know I've had fuel issues with the car falling on its face 1/2way down the track...so in went electric Tanks inc setup

Well I made it down the track first run 14.04, 2.55/60 105.92 mph , left it in drive and soft out of the hole

Second run 13.06... Little harder from the hole shifted manually 2.25/60. 108.72

Third run 13:26 2.34/60 108.44 mph Shifted manually It felt faster. It wasn't ...lol

Car ran great not a hint of fuel issue....

Tire spin is the problem. Trying to feather out oof the hole and not let adrenaline take over is tough
60's is where the issue needs to be addressed.
Gonna go back next month with some drag radials and I'll adjust the slide a links , bump the timing remove the air cleaner element and see what happens

All in all was a good nite. Always fun to be around other Pontiac guys...

Ta man and Torquewar ..probably had some of the fastest STREET cars there if not the fastest.....

Always glad to hear when a group suggestion for a specific part (Tanks, inc Gas Tank) shows some real merit in the real world.

Dropping a ful second off your first pass 14.0 vs 13.0 shows solid potential (leave it it drive vs manual shift, but I have seen cars with a properly set up auto trans that ran the same times in the auto mode or faster.

Did you go with the Tanks inc standard 255 liter/hr fuel pump?

Tom V.

CNC thats not bad, Just because TaMan had an awesome first time out thats actually pretty rare!!!!
I dont know what your car weighs? I figure 3800+lbs?
Thats 450-460hp for your car if it weighs 3800lbs so once you get
The car to hook i think you will be running low 12's and thats a Fast azz street car!!!
Good luck next month!

The Pleasure was all mine! I did not expect you to pick up a tenth out of the gate! Keep tuning on her and i am sure you will reach your 11.20 goal!
That 121.35 indicates that, Im here should you need anything at all!!!
Thanks again Ernie!!!

It was fun, the three of us try to get together a couple times a year if we can for some test and tune runs,

Thanks Pontiac Derek...
I don't know what the car weighs but I'm 210ish and that was with a full tank of gas and spare tire and Jack ...just to get the particulars out lol
Like I said my goal this time out was to get DOWN the track without fuel issue. And we did....
I'm hoping for mid 12's with the Drag radials and adjustments, to hit lower would just be a great bonus....
Thanks ....Chris

[Ok, Andy and Chris, where are ya?

Im here also......Good time with TA man and CNC. Many guys wandered over to see the Ponchos .

TA man was hooking good and ripped off some great runs. Ernie has the car dialed in and with a little more bite he is in the 20s. Love to see a heavy F Body ripping it up and have the locals wondering. This thread has evolved like most but what is impressive is these are street cars. TA man drives a 100 miles to play at this track. Me and CNC are about 40.
Chris finally got the bird to go down without issues.
He will use my other set of Hoosier Drag Radials and i predict its mid 12s.
I had traction issues all night but had 3 runs in the 40s with 121.2 /.6 runs.
Darn 1.8 60s are killing me . every run i was spinning couple feet.
I am still running the quad and RPM.
Jeff Shaker 455 has my carb done and my T-2 is on its way from SD
Looking to hook up with the boys in June....on a Saturday when track temps are up and prep is consistant.
Great time with (friends) and true Pontiac guys....

Andy..you may be surprised how fast your car will be once its hooking...I'm thinking just by the math if you 60ft in mid 1.6's..you will be in the high11.1's..thats with your current combo.......Good gains with a new intake and carb should result in even lower times...future is bright my friend!

Andy,
I'd be tempted to leave your deal alone, for at least one more trip to the track. The "winter" improvements with the RPM and Q-Jet might be interesting...

What does Andy's car weigh? Yes TaMan's car is very impressive!
Where do i start? The 290cfm heads or the 236* at .050 cam lol
I think He is Making between 575-585hp and 605-610tq i could be
Off a little but thats because His engine combo of which i have Dubbed
"Old Faithful" lol that combo always performs and never disappoints!
Anyone looking to build an Engine for a Heavy Car and you want to run

I agree.

Mid to low 11 combo that is repeatable with a competent machinist.
