Default Matador Red 1969 Judge

I have a 1969 matador Red Judge that had black interior and I switched it over to Parchment. It came with remote mirror, power disc brakes ,power steering, rally guages, hood tach, 4-speed 3:55 10 bolt posi-track and now has a 12 bolt 3:55 posi and non-hideaways which I installed hideaways recently and Im in the process of installing factory air condtioning. It came with a Ram Air iII but was gone when I bought it back in 1978 for $550.Installed new fenders and patch panels for rear quarters and all new Chrome and new dash with new paint 15 years ago.

I guess I've never posted in this thread.

I have a 69 4-speed "pattern" Judge built the third week of January in Baltimore. (This means it's carousel red/black interior.) I have had it since 1979--rebuilt the engine in 1980 and repainted the car in 1983. It has 87,000 miles. I've put 15,000 miles on it in 27 years. It has the original engine, transmission, rear end, and interior (except carpet/door sill plates).

My uncle has a rather differant/rare Judge colorwise. 1970 RAIII/auto/ac. Cardinal red painted top instead of vinyl top/ Polar White for the rest of the car, it was special ordered from the factory also with red interior. He is the original owner and still has it. I think only a few were ordered that way and the other known was wrecked/repainted all red I think.

That's the opposite of a 4 sp '69 GTO parts car that I just parted out - Matador Red with red interior and white painted top.

We're you referring to me? The only pic I have of the car is a senior picture taken with the car. I would have to get a copy or try to find one in my pictures I have.

Yes Bill I was, my thoughts are that must be extremely rare to have white on bottom and red on top, .There are some combinations that you couldn't order but that might be with vinyl top . I would love to see a picture but if its to much trouble don't go out of your way .

I would LOVE to see a white/red Judge car! I know of one in the reverse scheme - a RAIV to boot! - but this one your relative has seems fabulous!

I remember a 455 '70 GTO on eBay a few years ago in this color combo. Two-tone cars are rare on standard GTOs too. The ones you usually see are a regular color with a black or white top. Rarer are cars with contrasting colors, or white or black body with any color on top. As black and white match anything, they're the ones usually seen.

Cool My Judges

I guess I never saw this thread before either. Been busy

All these need total restoration but are solid Texas cars.
1. 69 Carousel Red/Parchment RAIII, 4spd, A/C
2. 69 Carousel Red/Parchment RAIII, 4spd
3. 69 Carousel Red/Parchment RAIII, 4spd
4. 69 Palladium Silver/Blue RAIII, Auto, A/C
5. 70 Granada Gold/Sierra Yellow/Sandalwood RAIII, 4spd.

I'd like to find a 69 Judge with Black interior someday.....

I think the 70 will get redone in Orbit Orange. The factory color combo gives me the willies.
