If it was my engine,
I would at least pull the pan and check ou the bearings. This may take you a little time, but will save you in the long run!!! and give you some peace of mind! Brad Spidel, JBS PERFORMANCE! |

well silly me. did not do my research and bought one from a member here. naturally it was a steal being it was from the suspect vintage. being the second owner i am sure i have no claim (nor interest in a new one from ppr). i bet the guys selling ATI balancers are wondering why they are suddenly out of stock ....
it will be pulled as soon as i can afford a replacement.

The new ones have had the issues addressed. It's older ones that are suspect

Mine was a 2005, so yea...an older one Not many miles on it though, more of a showcar than a use car The summit racing prorace deal is by far the best deal in balancers right now, IMO ProRace selling their $500 australian balancers under the summit name for like $260 or something Very nice, high quality unit. I just put one on a stroker motor

You can reach down to mine and literally turn it on the hub, with your hand I probably had 500 - 1000 miles on mine, along with 50 passes on the track? I think it's more time than use for them going bad...the polymer to hold them together is breaking down
