That was the FIRST thing I said too!!! I'm not sure why NASCAR doesn't fine them for that, or tell drivers that if you do this again, you run the risk of having your victory taken away, or points stripped.

Not that Jimmie doesn't deserve the win. He's a phenomenal driver, one of the best ever.

But NASCAR needs to stop this now or we'll see the winner of every race wreck his own front end, or do a donut and tag the wall to screw up his rear spoiler, to avoid a post-race inspection to catch an illegal wing or front end ride height.

I seem to recall Austin Dillon had an illegal front end (too low) in a Nationwide race last year. His car was visibly lower in front that the other cars, and he won the race easily. They stripped some points, but he kept the victory.

Johnson did stop short of touching the nose to the wall for a burnout. I didn't see anything extraordinary about any of the cars out there, other than the fastest car finishing 8th.

She wasn't the fastest, but was within a couple of hundreths( Yes, I timed them while at the race).

She was "half throttle all day." She should grow some balls, get a run on 2nd place car and drop to the inside when cars quicker than the 2 directly in front of her are making a move with a few laps to go. Wouldn’t be surprised if Stewart was thinking the same thing.

Brad,

Bud(an old friend of mine) was a mechanic at IMS from the late 40s to the early 80s. He could tell you stories about Foyt most people wouldn't believe(puncturing a tire with a screwdriver is one). Bud liked A.J., but thought his behavior was beyond the pale. He also said that Bobby Unser got his ass kicked by a fan when Unser tried to start a fight
because he(Unser) didn't like what the fan had to say about Unser's driving. I can see that happening to "Smoke".

I told my wife (she went to the race) that the "boys" could see "something" on a non-restrictor plate track. Phoenix is next.

Simply said, there's way too much attention given to Danica.

Why isn't he worried about the gray car that appears to have it's front bumper against his car??

The hood and the trunk lid were still exposed

The hood and trunk are bolt on replacements in severe hail damage.
The roof gets repaired with filler since its not a bolt on.
Guess he wanted to minimize the amount of plastic going into his roof.

Thats subjective to degree of damage.
But in majority of cases thats how it works out in the end.
Some roofs can be repaired with PDR - some with major/massive damage would need cut/replacement.

The guy has probably been through hail damage repair in the past.
...but that was pretty crazy

The better Danica does - the better NASCAR will do.
Pastrana will be the next wave if all goes well.
the future is bright , right now

Mika is a loose cannon and would make Pablo's first years look almost harmless.
They'll put her through at least 5-6-7 years of ladder climbing before they will give her any serious considerations in cup level. if ever

Well, thanks for supporting the point I've been making throughout this same thread!

Here is your sentence above, with just a few changes that I (HIGHLIGHTED) for you to proof it.:

Wanica had YEARS of experience in Formula Ford, Formula Vauxhall, Barber Dodge Pro Series, Toyota Atlantic Championship and ARCA, not to mention IRL experience, before she ever sat in a Busch series machine.

Wanica had plenty of experience - just no real success to EARN a Cup ride.

For the hype that is being forced down our throats - she should make the Chase.

For the talent that she has exhibited in her previous efforts - top 25. In Nationwide - she finished 10th out of 13 races that were in all 33 races.

So based on all that - anything less than a top 15 finish in the points is an epic failure.

^ This!

If it weren't for this -

There would be no -

Her racing career would have ended here - where her talent and her daddy's money ran out.

Make the chase? Possible but for a rookie in cup it doesn't happen to many of them, lot's of cup veterans with good teams.

Top 15 at seasons end? Plausable and I agree, anything less would be a failure given the equipment, and talent, she has. She'll crash out or get crashed out of a few races, everyone does, still should be able to do a top 15.

I'd concede 15-20th if she has some equipment DNF's, but with Hendrick equipment that shouldn't happen.

She's an average chick model wannabe who doesn't stand a chance at modeling without racing hype and she doesn't care as much about racing as she does modeling. She's not going to grow balls (figuratively) or boobs (literally), so she's screwed either way. Yet the sheeple buy into the BS and she banks.

... Just noticed others said similar. Great minds think alike.
