So I bought the TA thinking the motor was gone, and I picked up a cheap and rusty 73 Grand Prix with a running original 455 to throw in the TA, and then I got to looking at the "extra" motor and realized we had the original numbers 455 block sitting here the entire time.

So I didn't end up with a SD car, but having the numbers block is a good consolation prize.

I figure the SD that was in the car may have been an over the counter kind of a deal. He did have the car badged up as an SD car.

Shame on you Mike - supporting the objectification of young women when you have a daughter of your own.

Here's a nice but shot for ya.

Default My first Car.... 1971 Firebird Street Machine

Hey Guys....figured a few might enjoy these. I was digging thru some old picts and came across picts of my first car.... 1971 Firebird Street Machine I acquired the car in the early 90's, I drove the car for a few summers and then discovered that the rear frame rails were rotten... It sat for a couple years then I pulled out the motor and trans and sold it for what i had orig paid for it.

The 71 got replaced by the orange 1972 in 1999 or so....

Here are the two picture of my Dads Firebird Formula bought from Penny Pontiac in 1975. This is where it all started for me and has yet to end.
Cheers, B

Here are the two picture of my Dads Firebird Formula bought new from Penny Pontiac in 1975. It came without a spoiler or side strips however they where added later by the dealer. This is where it all started for me.

Nice looking car! My dad had a '76 Formula on order, then changed his mind when he saw the previews of the all new '77 full size Chevy. Huh...? I was crushed!
