So I bought the TA thinking the motor was gone, and I picked up a cheap and rusty 73 Grand Prix with a running original 455 to throw in the TA, and then I got to looking at the "extra" motor and realized we had the original numbers 455 block sitting here the entire time. So I didn't end up with a SD car, but having the numbers block is a good consolation prize. I figure the SD that was in the car may have been an over the counter kind of a deal. He did have the car badged up as an SD car. |

My first Car.... 1971 Firebird Street Machine
Hey Guys....figured a few might enjoy these. I was digging thru some old picts and came across picts of my first car.... 1971 Firebird Street Machine
I acquired the car in the early 90's, I drove the car for a few summers and then discovered that the rear frame rails were rotten... It sat for a couple years then I pulled out the motor and trans and sold it for what i had orig paid for it. The 71 got replaced by the orange 1972 in 1999 or so....

Love those old pictures and I have to post some soon too. Sure seems like they made allot of those tangerine orange cars

Nice looking car! My dad had a '76 Formula on order, then changed his mind when he saw the previews of the all new '77 full size Chevy. Huh...? I was crushed!
