Well, at least that bird has LOTS of custom features.

I recently heard that Roscoe, on the Dukes of hazard, had a 77 Lemans cop car on several episodes. I googled it and couldn't find any pics of it. I saw mostly Mopars, which is all I remember seeing. Do ya'll have any pics? If it's already on this thread, does anybody know the page number.

The '59 Safari looks like a Canadian as it looks as if it says Laurentian on the side under the fin. Front tire looks more like Canadian than US version, as the tire/wheel combo is deep set into the wheel well.

One of the things I've always struggled with is how at car shows we always display the cars with the hoods and trunk lids open - so all the photos I've taken of great cars at car shows are with the hoods open - which ruins the lines of the car. Case, in point, the photo of this sweet Judge rendition of the wagon, would be SO much cooler if the hood was closed.

I have to agree with you, I leave the hood closed on my 67. Ya seen one engine, ya seen em all.

I agree. My engine compartment is nothing to write home about so It's always closed for now. Maybe in the future I'll devote some time, energy and money and then open the hood.

Too funny! I'm just the opposite. What's under the hood is always more interesting than the body. I'm always disappointed to see a car at a show that I'm interested in and the hood is closed. Trunk too.

To paraphrase indetrucks, ya seen one nice paint job, ya seen 'em all. I'd rather eyeball the engine room for details, condition isn't important. Sometimes the coolest details can be found in a grungy survivor engine bay.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Me too. I always like finding surprises like the Buick Nailhead in a '60's Dodge truck I saw last weekend. I'm interested in checking out any motor that isn't a Chevy small block.

I wonder if this is the same car (with hood etc closed) prior to "The Judge" treatment? Probably not, color, wheels, grills, etc appear to be different...personally I like them both.

I'll agree with you in regards to photographing the car. Looks better down but I do like to take a gander under the hood when it comes to just being at the show and looking at the cars.

BTW, I mis-spoke when I said my friend built a copy of the car in the ad that Alvin posted...The car in the ad is actually HIS car. He created the entire image of the ad from a GTO ad...lol. I guess it's gotten picked up and is all over the web now.
