That craigslist ad is mine.
The snowmobile is a friend's and is for sale. He may part it out and sell engine seperate. The GTO's are all 69's and none of the ones pictured are for sale however I do have several other 69 GTO project cars for sale if anyone is looking. John |

GTO JOHN, I fiqured you would respond, as I know you love to hunt down old Goats and live in the Minneapolis area. I had no idea it was your posting. Funny! Hope I did not stir things up for you, in a bad way. Now we all know those cars are in good hands.

Now your thinking! of course I would pay a generous finders fee for any good leads. I was just up in Andover tonight too. Never saw squat for old Ponchos sitting in yards.
I have no idea what a single stroke engine is. I just wrote what my buddy told me it was. I know zip about sleds and preferr to keep it that way. |

My son tells me his social teacher has 3 GTOs. If fact last week he told a story to the class about when he graduated from High School, he went straight to work to save up for his dream car, a 1970 Judge. Bought a brand new one, but its long gone now. Of course my son was the only one that knew what it was. I have raised him as a Pontiac nut, like me. I better schedule a parent/teacher conference soon. I need to get to know this guy!

1973 TA
I found my 1973 Trans Am Super Duty 4 years ago. I would say about 5 years ago I heard my Uncle mention he's got a '73 TA in a barn. He then went on to explain how he's the original owner and wanted to leave it for his son(my cousin). I began to push my cousin to see if he actually wanted it. Luckily for me he had absolutely ZERO interest. It's all original, 70,000 mile car. These pictures are where I first saw it, and brought it home...

To all you people who find these cars just sitting in barns and fields, consider yourself lucky. I haven't ever seen any type of car in a barn around here. I can't believe people just find these things and take them home. It must be like Christmas finding an old car like that.

I've seen a lot of cars around here. There's also tons of farmland up here also. I'm sure there's gotta be a car in a barn somewhere for me to find.

Posted these elsewhere before I found this thread.... 71GTO Vert, non original 455. Had an auto trans in it but Theres a 4 speed gonna replace it... Been sitting for at least 25 years... bought it from an estate.

These are sitting out in a family field. If I had somewhere to store them they'd be at the house. These pictures are 10 years old, but the cars look exactly the same today. No titles on them, so I don't know if I'll ever grab them or not. I am going to get the 400 out of the 1970 Catalina though.

Barn Fresh 1970 Cardinal Red 4 Speed Judge
Stored in a pole barn and never again titled since 1981. Original paint / decals with a few touch up spots. Interior is excellent excpet carpet; no dash pad cracks. Totally original number's matching car. The owner couldn't get the car started so he sold it. Once the car was at my shop, I checked timing and the distributor was 180 degrees off. I corrected that, repaired a cut coil wire, drained the old gas for the fresh, and she fired right up. A ton of rust flakes came blasting out of the exhaust pipes. A real nice survivor.

Here's Mine
I think my car would be better off if it was found in a barn, maybee the guy I got it from would not have found it and put those side pipes on it. It sat in a garage from
the late 1980s untill I got it about 10 years ago. All it needs now is a real paint job.

Jason, those side pipes, tho not correct, don't look all that bad. Besides, it's cheaper to leave them for now then buy the original setup to replace them. Run em till they're no good then go to the orginal exhaust. Just my
 Judges4u, looks like that was a lucky find.
