I am working at restoring my original manifolds right now due to cracks. Like everything else it must be dead nuts on and its a good thing my welding skills are capable. I'll be reviewing options but at this point I plan on running the stock manifolds with 2-1/2" dual exhaust (including mufflers).
The two (2) things Im waiting on correcting, one is the exhaust systems and the other is the 12 bolt rear end. For now its about being a well sorted car in the front and the rear is well the last thing one see's after I rip'em. Cheers and thanks for the ideas for future reference.

Brian - I've got a 3:73 10 bolt if you need it.

Dual exhaust on a 72 Formula? Whats the reason for that?

It's under a snow bank at the moment - I'll get back to you in a couple of months.

I'll try to find out.

That is another car I thought real hard about buying. Very nice build sheet, and Randy was a real nice guy to talk to. Congrats on your purchase.

Talking X Code Formy

Real 455HO Formula. Born-with matching # car. Auto with 28 options. I'm extremely excited about finally getting a 72 HO Formula. I've been looking for a keeper for years. I had one once, but it was what I consider a basket case. Now my 2 '72 T/As have some familiar company in the garage.

Brewster- actually I'm now at 3Birds! (That number changes without notice) lol!

Congrats on a very nice HO!! Isn't that the car that was owned by Joe Parrish a few years ago out of Houston? Very nice car with a HPP article on it from around 2008 or so if I remember right. Congrats on a very nice HO!

Yup. Thats the car. I just bought it from Randy. (great guy) He bought if from Joe. I've been talking to him about it for a while. I finally flew down to Houston to see the car in person. Its not perfect by any means, but it is a real deal low mile car. It has its issues, but dont they all after 43 years? The previous damage to the body was no where near as bad it sounded in the article. They did a great job of fixing all the cosmetic damage. It still retains all of its original sheet metal from the facory except the LF fender and radiator support. After verifying all the #'s and a thorough inspection we made a deal.

I'll post some current pics after I give it a good cleaning. It needs it!

These are pictures from the article years ago:
