2007 Solstice GXP. I think this car is very cool. With the price of new cars today, if you just wanted a commuter car this one is a stick and has 28K miles with a rare SEMA top... never heard of it before. $23K in Wisconsin.
The all-aluminum 2.0-liter makes 260 horsepower at 5300 rpm and 260 pound-feet of torque all the way from 2500 to 5250 rpm, using 18 psi of boost from a dual-scroll turbo, an air-to-air intercooler, a beefed-up crankshaft and connecting rods, and new pistons with cast-in oil channels to keep them cool. That Hard top was made by a company called EGAD, long out of business. I have seen a couple installed, usually missing the headliner as they were not available for most of the time they offered them for sale.
What I find interesting is this car still has the convertible top installed in the lowered position? Why I don't know, as you have to remove the truck lid to install the EGAD top. Nice car with, GXP, Manual Transmission. But they are a love it or hate it look.

I always tell people that complain about the luggage space in a Solstice or Sky, the cars were probably not meant for you, consider buying a minivan instead. LOL!

68 Firebird in Texas at $1K with reserve and $30K BIN. This car is nowhere near worth $30K IMO. It's a cool car and needs bodywork and paint and the following was replaced per the ad "New floor New roof New quarter panels x2 New door skins x2". Prolly had a lot of rust repair and the body is dented in more than a few places. No pics of the interior and it has an LS1 with 4WDB, which is cool.

71 Firebird in Virginia at $22K with a reserve. I like the concept, but this one is a miss and is worth about $25K IMO. The blue stripes down half the hood and roof don't work. If it didn't have the blue stripe and the T/A logo on the rear wing, but kept the blue Firebird on the nose it would work IMO. Are those Ram Air exhaust manifolds?

68 Firebird 350 white/red in Nebraska with a rebuilt suspension (all the dirty hard work) for $37.9K. Nice looking 4WDB car with a dumb ass steering wheel.

And the other George (JFK junior had that magazine called George). He had a GTO (66 or 67 ragtop iirc) and had that same “look at me” feel to his photos with the car.

69 Firebird convertible in Texas at $11.9K NR. There's a lot of new parts in this car, but a lot of mistakes were made IMO. Things I can see wrong: Front seats are not correct and the rear seat upholstery is a poor job. Air cleaner and hood have 455 badges and it's running a SBC? Steering wheel, shifter and white stickers on the gauges and AC look awful. Dumb place for the gauges where the radio should be and the red trim on the front grill and side chrome looks like a 3rd grader with a crayon did the job. Still, a lot of work has been done.

Obviously he wasn't going for originality, but in 69 the only red interior was the Custom trim. Front seats are not a Firebird pattern of any year. Dash apparently from an A/C car, and yeah, that gauge install is a hack job.
Body shell seems like that car may not have been too rusty, especially that floorpan shot. Pontiac silver-blue metallic engine color looks good on anything. That 327 belongs in a vintage streetrod. |
