Northwest Nationals
This weekend there is a National event out on the Northwest coast. There are also 2 div races, in div 1 & 3.

Randi Lyn Shipp has the highest qualified Pontiac Stocker, in Q-1. She's #4, with a .936 under run of 10.464.

In the div 1 race, looks like Todd Hoven is representing Pontiac power, in Stock, with his D/SA '68 Bird.

Unfortunately, 2 of the Pontiac Stockers had to run each other in round 1.

Hey ya'll, we got a chance for an all Pontiac Stock final, at the Northwest Nationals ! Ryan Warter gets the semi-final bye run. So, if Brad Burton can win his semi-final, he'll run Ryan in the final. How cool is that ?

S/ST
They decided to run the S/ST final in 2 weeks, at the div race there. So, we won't know til then if we'll have another Pontiac powered National event winner, or not.

There's a div 5 race this week. There are 2 Pontiac Stockers entered, which I am not familiar with. One is a '74 GTO, driven by Bradley Koivisto. The other is a '68 Bird, driven by Ronald Prince. I found some pics of the Bird.

Well, there's a national event & a couple of div races, this weekend. The national event is at BIR.

At Brainerd, Sam Reuland survived 2 rounds of Stock, and Greg Meyer made it thru 2 rounds of SS. So, they'll get to race on Sat.

This was a make up race for an earlier div 6 race, that was rained out. At the div 6 race, Brad Burton qualified #2, with a 1.013 under 10.537, in his D/SA '72 Formula. This qualifying is for the 2nd race of the weekend.

On the East coast, it looks like there are 2 Pontiac powered Stockers entered. There's Todd Hoven, with his '68 Bird, and Michael Moyer, with his '78 Bird. I'm not familiar with that 2nd gen Bird. Just assume it has Pontiac power.

almost missed reading this at bottom of page "Todd Hoven's MOV: 0.0270 seconds (approximately 5 feet). The Wally is Hoven's third, in four final rounds, all in Stock Eliminator." So congrats on the Wally too!!! |
