Here is the chart from an early full line (less Fbird) dated 9-68. It is suspect because it shows only the 2bbl for the 350's when you could have the 3spd auto with the 2bbl and you couldn't even order a 2spd auto with the HO.

Interesting that they show no 4spd option on the 1bbl, I know you could in an Fbird, was the tempest different or is this just a typo?

Here is another full line brochure from 9-68 but this one includes the Fbird, it shows the 4spd optional on the 1bbl but the note says Fbird only.

Again the same error with the automatics

Now another full line with Fbird but dated 10-68. Note that they only show 3spd automatics which is also wrong (except for 350HO), they also modified a few axle ratios and added a not about the sprint being 215hp with automatic

Now a Fbird only brochure from 9-68. This one looks right, either auto with the 1bbl and the 350 2bbl and only the 3spd auto with the sprint and 350HO.

Also note that the sprint is rated at 215 here

Now a Canadian brochure that had just the Fbird and GTO, dated 9-68. Here is the Fbird chart.

It shows only the two speed auto available like the early American brochures. Again 215 hp for the sprint.

Now a 01-69 version of the same Canadian Fbird-GTO brochure.

They now have the correct specs for the sprint and the correct automatic transmissions. They also modified some axles again.

I looked at the special hipo brochure (9-68) and they say that only the 2spd auto was available for both the sprint and the 350HO

I have a small pocket size b&w folder titled "the exciting wide-track story..." It mentions that there is a new turbo hydramatic (3spd) transmission option for the 6 and the 350 in both tempests and Fbirds.

There is no date but the printing code is SP 2594

Lastly I have an "accessorizer" dated 1-69 and it shows the following;

Fbird;
The 1bbl engine has 3 on the tree with option of 3or 4spd floorshifted manuals and 2 or 3spd autos
The sprint came with the 3spd on the floor and a 4spd manual or a 3spd auto were optional.
The 350's came both with 3 on the tree but the optional 3 on the floor was the HD version like a 400-GTO. 4spds were optional in both but the 2bbl could be had with both autos but the HO was 3spd auto only. (The 6's and the 2bbl 350 used the M38, the 350HO and the 400's used the M40)

The tempests are the same choices except no 4spd manual on the 1bbl

I used to own a 69 hardtop 2 door lemans with standard ohc six. It had bucket seats, cornering lamps, power brakes, power steering. The car had a lot of options for a standard six. Heres an ad that just popped tonite on craigslist

I believe that Tempest was listed and linked earlier. Somewhere outside of Sacramento. It looks like it is at a dealer and does not have a plate on it. Looks like a flip.
The Firebird ad could have used a little more of a description. Love the Gold color.

That's what I'm thinking. I'd like to get another OHC car. Had a 67 FB Sprint when I was in high school.

Thumbs up 67 Firebird OHC 6

Jeff

I spoke to the owner Troy on Friday.
It's a complete 67 Firebird 1bbl motor & air cooled transmission removed over 10 years ago and sitting outside since.
He did put a bucket over the carb to protect it.
It is a complete motor with the A/C & power steering system intact.
He believes he still has the starter for it along with a spare cam cover.
"It ran when he removed it back then"

Picking it up Monday!
